VIA IURIS welcomes that court decisions are on internet
18. Jan. 2012
Public access to court decisions on internet is something VIA IURIS has been advocating for a long time (see related information on our webpage), therefore we welcome this policy.
Court decisions available on internet are a common practice in developed countries. In our opinion, public discussion, even critique, of court decisions is the only tool for public to control judiciary. And a free access to court decisions is its vital condition. Already in summer 2010 VIA IURIS has prepared a draft law opening court decisions to public and submitted this draft for a public discussion.
